Metal Gear Rex by GuardianStorm Metal Gear Rex by GuardianStorm
I found the pdf for creating this on the net, and built it in a few hours over a couple of days.

It is a model of Metal Gear Rex, and is approx 10cm tall

Hey, really nice work there! Quick question though.

What kind of paper did you print those on?
Just like normal paper? Or did you use like photo paper or something?

Oooh, jk I saw that comment lolz.
Okay nvm

BTW would it be easy to use a toothpick with something sticky on the end to pick up the small pieces?

I forgot to ask in the last comment, what type of paper did you use?

It was Staple's standard A4 paper, 160gsm.

Some of the parts were a little tough, but by no means the most difficult I've done.

Persevere my friend :)

you know, I tried to make this and had the hardest time. I had to blow up the pieces in photoshop because some of them were so tiny and intricate, my fingers just couldn't make the folds or glue it right

sure thing:)

I believe those scans came from a E3 press package back when Snake Eater was announced so they are featuring the old Shagohod design. People didnt even knew the mech was named Shagohod yet:)

Thanks!

I remember seeing info on this on the Internet. This assembles into (besides Rex) the Scud Missile Launcher-esque prototype concept for what would become the Shagohod, right?

And sure, I'll take the BattleMech papercraft jpg's too! Thanks again!

yeah. unfortunately there is no instructions on how to assemble the Shagohod model. It was not included in the press package for some reason. The MechWarrior models are in PDF format so I;ve uploaded them for you on Rapidshare in ZIP archive with the official FASA blueprints of Mad Cat, Loki and Vulture if you dont have them: [link]

have fun:)

That's really cool! One problem though, I think this is the wrong category... This is the digi art category and that's a paper folding, right? Nevertheless, it is really cool, good job!
